Madelaine Barlow, the Harlequins, Saracens and Wasp Boys

Last week 14th April, I had the chance to work with Maddy Barlow again.
Maddy organised a shoot for Matt Thampson to raise awareness and money for the charity Matt has set up.
www.matthampson.co.uk

Matt, a talented and progressing rugby player in England, dislocated his neck, trapping his spinal cord during a game. The accident has left Matt paralyzed from the neck down.

Matt's rugby friends got involved in the shoot for a series of campaign events Matt is involved in.

Maddy is doing a series of shoots based around strong men, who almost seem invincible and then breaks them down by giving them broken arms, legs, necks etc, so you can see the more vulnerable side to them.

Here are a few of the behind the scenes of the shoot:
David Strettle (Harlequins) Tom Ryder and Alex Goode (Saracens) Maddy behind the camera
David, Tom and Will Skinner (aka Skins from Harlequins)... Skinner was bruised up by us...not actually from Rugby this time around!
Poor Alex and his neck brace and my our star stylist David Bartlett working his magic!

Tom kept forgetting how tall he was compared to me and so would forget to bend down for me to touch up his hair...
Tom Rees was a doll

Tom Varndell was also there but I didn't manage to get a photo with him as I was doing make-up when he left. However, Maddy is shooting again next week and we've got a whole new set of players as well as Tom Rees and Tom Varndell again! I'm thoroughly looking forward to it!

So watch this space for an update on next weeks shoot!
