Estee Lauder Bronzed Goddess

Last week after my shoot for Hawes & Curtis, I went to the Estee Lauder Bronzed Goddess Limited Edition Launch. Summer is fast approaching which obviously means a make-up change or what I call a wardrobe change for the face!

I have some fab new things to tell you about!

First let's start with the most important thing when it comes to sun, sand and summertime...SUNSCREEN!

Growing up in Texas and California and spending summers in Louisiana as well as Florida, I know all about getting sunburns! It's a real shame that I wasn't taught about sunscreen when I was younger. There didn't and maybe still doesn't seem to be a huge push to protect your skin for UV rays in the USA. I'm hoping things have changed in the last 9 years since I have lived there.

Well sunscreen comes in so many packages, from basic drugstore ranges to the more luxurious brands and that includes Estee Lauder's Bronzed Goddess -Sun Indulgence Lotion for Body SPF 15 RRP £21.50

I haven't used this as of yet, but I am having a trip to Florida in the next week and a half and I will be cracking this bad boy open and letting you know how I get on with it. It is supposed to be great and I know it smells gorgeous already.

There is also SPF30 for the Body Lotion and there are SPF 15 and 30 in the Lotion for the Face.

Estee Lauder didn't stop there. They also have a whole Bronzed Goddess Golden Perfection Self Tanners
-Lotion for the face £21.50
-Spray for the body £21.50
-Milk for the body £21.50
-Tinted self-tanning Gelee for the body £21.50
-Firming body Creme- (I totally need that one) £23.50
-Moisture tan enhancer for body £21.50

I know that no matter where I go, whether I am on the beach (which unfortunately doesn't happen often), popping to the shops or even the gym, I do like to have a least a bit of face on. I don't feel my best unless I have at least mascara on.

Estee have a goddess range of NEW Limited Edition Bronze Goddess range for eyes, lips and nails. One of the lovely pieces from this range is the Bronzed Goddess Shadow Stick Duos. They come with two complimentary shades. I have the Gold Bronze Duo. These are great as they are water resistant which is great for those sweaty, summer months. I will be doing a tutorial on these as they take a bit of getting used to, but once you get it you can use them as eyeliners or a smokey shadow.

Now during the summer I'm not huge on wearing a lot of foundation. Summer weather usually makes my skin lovely and clear and a bit more freckly, so the best thing to do is enhance the glow and besides a bit of light mineral make-up or a tinted spf I also like a bit of added bronzer.
I have already used this Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Sea Star Bronzing Blush on myself and a couple of brides who will be having summer weddings. It is gorgeous and smell yum too!

You'll see this used in my next bronzed bride tutorial!
-It has a lovely coral finish with a hint of pink and adds a tad of shimmer to the cheeks but not TOO much!

Quite literally every bit of the body...well aside from hair...has been thought of with these Limited Editions.  Shimmer Bronze -Pure Colour Nail Lacquer £14.00
I don't tend to wear bronze on my nails. I mean I have before, but during the summer I tend to wear bright pinks, but I think it's time I mixed it up a bit and try a bit of both and stop being a one trick pony when it comes to my summer nails.

There is one thing that I will never go without during the summer. I can forget all other make-up and go bare faced, BUT I must always have mascara on. I have blonde eyelashes and in the summer they only get whiter and make me look like I have teeny tiny eyes. I think a little mascara goes a long way with everybody. It opens and brightens the eyes and adds a little bit of glamour to the eyes with just one swoop of a wand.  Sumptuous Waterproof Bold Volume Mascara in Black £19.00

Sumptuous WaterproofBold Volume™ Lifting Mascara

This is a gorgeous mascara. For once, someone has a want that catches all the lashes, unlike others you hear me repeatedly complain about. It adds volume and most of all it is waterproof.
Great for those beach days or warm summer weddings....or weddings in general.

I bet you wish I would stop waffling on now, but I'm NOT DONE YET! For those who do know me, know I love a good perfume. My house is filled with them. My bathroom has about 30 sitting around, my bedroom has at least 6 big ones and then 10's of mini ones. So when I saw that Estee Lauder had two Limited Edition Fragrances I was over the moon.

Limited Edition- Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche- £38.00
This one is my favourite. It's a soft, warm smell and reminds me of the beach. It's gorgeous and I have been wearing it every day since I got it. This will be my staple fragrance of the summer.

Bronzed Goddess Soleil
The BRAND NEW Limited Edition Fragrance of the summer
This fragrance will be lovely post sunbathing as it is fresh and feminine. A good fragrance for a few cocktails on the beach in the evening.

PHEW that was a mouthful! So that was my rundown on the great stuff in store with Estee Lauder this summer. Grab yourself some special things for what I am hoping is another warm summer!

Stay tuned for the tutorial for the summer bronze look!
