Met Ball 2013 PUNK

This year, the Met Ball theme was PUNK. For a lot of you who are into fashion, you will know the Met Ball well. For those of you who have no idea what I am going on about and think I am talking about some sort of baseball term....then let me give you a little insight.

The Met Ball also know as the Met Gala is the opening Gala or Ball for the Metropolitan Museum's fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute.

This is a chance for top celebrities and models to basically have a chance to work their fashion magic down the catwalk.

As this year was PUNK themed, I read all over the place that many celebrities were finding it difficult to figure out what they were going to wear.

As I have seen some of the best dressed from last nights opening event, it looks as though everyone was fairly tame. I suppose everyone still wanted to look pretty and elegant with a bit of edge, but if I am honest, I think some of them could have rocked it a bit harder.

Either way, everyone looked beautiful and magnificent as always. Here are a few images from Vogue, as they captured some of the best dressed:

If you want to see more photos from the night then check out this link from the Daily Mail. You can be the judge of how Punk this red carpet really was!

Oh and seeing as I thought I was a little bit Punk back when I was in my teens, I thought I would go ahead and rock the makeup how I thought it should be done. Something between a mix of Blondie and modern day punk.

I hope you enjoy!

Here's what I used:
MAC- Pro Longwear Concealer, Hush Frost Cream
Estee Lauder- Magentic Gele Eyeshadow, Ivory Slipper Satin, Electric Pink Blusher
e.l.f.- Turquoise Eyeliner

Arbonne- Mattifying Powder
e.l.f.- Treat and Tame Eyebrow Setter
Rimmel- Scandal Eyes
